这枚广东省造双龙寿字币都展现出它不凡的特征而成为大清银币中的佼佼者. 此币铸于光绪三十一年(1905)初，为纪念慈禧六十寿辰而铸。张炯伯在《广东省造银币》一文中写道：“惟本品因未纪年，殊难遽断，然观其图案，谐作福寿，环绕双龙，幕无英文，意含颂祝，大异常制。由此以推，成为纪念币之一种，专铸以祝慈禧太后七旬万寿者也。

此币正面以珠圈为界，可分为内外两个部分：珠圈以外，上端为“廣東省造”四字，下方为“库平重壹两”五字，左右两侧各铸一蝙蝠图案;珠圈以内，铸有满、汉文“光绪元宝”四字。背面也以珠圈为界：珠圈外面，铸有双龙图案;珠圈里面，铸有一圆形“寿”字。直径 4.35 cm，重 36.9 g。这种银币有一个很显著的特色，那就是在币面两侧各有一蝙蝠图案。当时把它的图像铸在银币之上，寓有吉祥的含义。因为，蝙蝠的“蝠”字与幸福的“福”字读音相同，而把蝙蝠图案铸在币面上，系取“蝠”、“福”两字谐音。并且，如将它与背面的“寿”字相对应，便构成“福寿双全”之意。版面设计优雅，雕刻精良，钱币表面包浆自然，可见岁月流通痕迹，至今仍保存完好，实为不易，具有无法估量的学术与历史价值，极具收藏意义价值。
